Carriage Cottage is conveniently located on Mahoney Avenue in the heart of Mackinac Island’s Historic District and has been beautifully updated inside and out this past year. It is located within a few minutes walk of the waters edge, the boardwalk, downtown Main street, Market Street, shopping, restaurants, playgrounds and the Grand Hotel. This cottage has spectacular water views of Lake Huron and is close enough to the water that you can open the windows and listen to the sound of the waves crashing the shore at night. On clear evenings parts of the Mackinac Bridge and causeway are quite the sight all lit up from the third floor patio.  This home has 3 private outdoor sitting areas (2 that are fully covered) with relaxing outdoor seating and dining areas. This home can sleep between 4-6 people, with two 2 bedrooms (3 sleeping areas): the master bedroom on the third floor has a queen-sized bed, and the second floor has a double-sized bedroom with a twin-sized day bed (and a twin sized trundle) and a separate Queen sized bed.  There are 2 full bathrooms in the home – one has a shower (first floor) and the second has a bathtub with shower. The cottage has a full kitchen with all of the items and cookware that you would need to create your own gourmet meals as well as a big green egg for outdoor grilling or smoking.  There is a full washer and dryer located within the home. The home has separate mini split air conditioners for each floor for the warm summer nights and the living room has a cozy electric fireplace for both heat and ambiance. The Carriage Cottage is a home away from home as it is surrounded by mature lilac trees and beautiful flowing gardens and we know it won’t take long for you to adopt the Mackinac Island lifestyle as you relax on the front porch after exploring this beautiful island.
